Office Visits

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high quality dental care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing you with the best care possible.

Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these with you to your first appointment:

  • Please visit our new patient page and download all the forms. Please bring the completed forms to your initial appointment.
  • If you have recent x-rays (taken within 6 months), you may request that they be forwarded to our office. We will take a full-mouth series (FMX) if no current films are available.
  • If you have dental insurance, please bring all the necessary information and allow us to help you process your dental claims.

Our favorite appointment is a new patient exam!

The reason why is that we enjoy the time getting to know our patients. We feel that it is a privilege to have you in our office. With that privilege comes an obligation to treat you as we would ourselves and our family. We pride ourselves in taking time to conduct a thorough exam and to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan with you. We firmly believe that educating you about your dental health will ultimately help to maintain your teeth for a lifetime.

What to expect at your initial appointment:

First, a member of our staff will take any necessary x-rays for the doctor to evaluate.  The doctor will then meet with you to review your medical/dental history and perform a thorough exam. This exam will review the health of your TMJ, teeth, gums and existing restorations, as well as a standard oral cancer screening.  In conclusion, the doctor will discuss the findings of the exam and x-rays and, if necessary, formulate a treatment plan to address your dental needs.

At this time, you'll have the opportunity to get to know the doctor and ask any questions that you may have concerning your mouth or dental condition. A written treatment plan, sequence of treatment and fees will be presented. If you have scheduled a cleaning to follow the examination appointment, one of our skilled hygienists will clean and polish your teeth.

We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you are preparing to visit the dentist please remember that your appointments can last between 1-2 hours.
